Boston, MA - Capstone Partners LLC, a leading national investment banking firm, today announced that Ronald J. Adams has joined the firm as Managing Director and head of the valuation practice.  The addition of Ron Adams to Capstone’s executive team marks another significant strategic move for the firm.  “Having just completed our healthcare and merchant banking efforts, this initiative is an exciting extension for our platform,” commented John Ferrara, President and Managing Partner of Capstone.  “Ron brings decades of experience and leadership in specialized valuation disciplines that are in high demand,” added Ferrara.

 

Mr. Adams is a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified valuation analyst (CVA), accredited in business valuation (ABV) and certified in financial forensics (CFF).  Over his 30 year career, Ron has assisted hundreds of corporate and individual clients in valuation and related engagements.  Former clients include General Electric, Seaman Paper, Raytheon, Ascential Software, BioVex, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Industrial Growth Partners, Summit Partners, Sorono Labs, Angstrom Medical, Ipswitch, Mass General, Northeast Health System, Pioneer Surgical, Perkin Elmer, Progress Software, Inverness Medical and Sitara Networks. 

 

Ron’s expertise will extend Capstone’s valuation practice beyond business enterprise valuations and fairness opinions into areas such as intangible assets, minority and control equity ownership interests, goodwill impairment, stock and stock options, fairness opinions, litigation support and expert witness testimony in various legal matters involving business valuations in marital dissolution, equity buy-out and dissenting shareholder cases, valuation of intellectual property, matters involving economic damages and loss of income, and executive compensation.
