Ron Adams is the Head of Capstone’s Valuation Services Group. Over his 30 year career, Ron has assisted hundreds of corporate and individual clients in valuation and related engagements. His areas of valuation expertise include business enterprise, fairness opinions, intangible assets, minority and control equity ownership interests, goodwill impairment, stock and stock options, gift and estate tax planning, litigation support and expert witness testimony in various legal matters involving business valuations in marital dissolution, equity buy-out and dissenting shareholder cases, valuation of intellectual property, matters involving economic damages and loss of income, and executive compensation. Mr. Adams has managed numerous fairness opinions and valuation engagements involving stock and option valuations in accordance with FAS 123 (R), FAS 141 & 142 valuations for financial accounting and reporting purposes, Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 409A, and the valuation of entities for conversion of C corporation to S corporation.
Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Adams ran the valuation practice at Newbury Piret & Co., an investment banking boutique based in Boston. He has also served as the New England District Manager for American Appraisal Associates. Mr. Adams, a graduate of Northeastern University, is a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified valuation analyst (CVA), accredited in business valuation (ABV) and certified in financial forensics (CFF).
