Mark Shifrin, ASA, is a member of Capstone’s Valuation Services Group, bringing with him deep technical expertise developed over his 10 year career.  Prior to joining Capstone, Mark was a professional with Valuation Research Corporation in Boston, specializing in business valuation, stock valuation and the valuation of intangible assets & intellectual property for financial accounting and reporting purposes.  Prior to VRC, Mark worked as an associate in Grant Thornton’s investment banking practice and served as a valuation analyst with ZweigWhite, a management consulting firm, where he performed business valuations for ownership transition, marital dissolutions, employee stock ownership plans, corporate planning and mergers and acquisitions.

 

Mr. Shifrin holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) certification in business valuation from the American Society of Appraisers and has completed Level I of the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) program. He earned an MBA from Babson College and a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
